AGENDA/MINUTES
The agenda and Meeting Minutes from the
OLD BUSINESS
BUDGET
Poinsettia Fundraiser had a profit of $650.
SURPLUS OF T-SHIRTS
The surplus of gymnastic t-shirts was discussed. There are approximately 100 t-shirts. If we had a Fire Sale and sold the shirts for $5 each, we could make $500.
CAR PEELS
This could be an excellent fundraiser. There is a huge variety of car peels to choose from, including all imaginable sports. We do need 20 orders to be eligible for free shipping. We need to send notices and examples of the car peels home with the gymnasts.
EAGLES MEET
Shanna is hoping for an Eagles Meet at EHS on either 5/3 or 5/24. We will be able to use all the High School’s equipment, except for bars. Volunteers will be needed for the following: set-up, clean-up, concessions, ticket sales, computer data entry, awards, goodie gift bags, etc. The Possibility of charging a $50 fine to those parents who do not volunteer was discussed. Joy indicated that if conducted properly, we could make $1,000 on concessions. We will have an emergency Booster Club Meeting prior to the Home Meet.
GOODIE BAGS FOR USAG
USAG will prepare goodie bags for the Boy’s Team. The USAG Compulsory Team will prepare goodie bags for the Optionals Team. Happy Dance website has great “goodies” for these bags.
FAMILY OUTING
We are still considering a pot-luck of some sort.
GROCERY CERTIFICATES
The King Soopers Grocery Certificates are going well. Remember, the cards do not expire and they can be used for groceries, fuel, Starbucks, etc.
PICTURES
Picture day is February 29th. There are different time slots for individual teams. The pictures will be less expensive than last year - $12 for 8x10.
NEW BUSINESS
BANQUET
After a discussion regarding whether to have 2 banquets or
only 1, it was decided to keep the USAG and Eagles banquets separate. The USAG banquet will probably be the end of
April – tentatively at the
PRO-SHOP
Per Shanna, we are looking at starting up a Pro-Shop. This would need to be run through the Booster Club. The Shop would most likely be in the Gymnastics Office and would sell leotards, grips, wrist bands, water bottles, tape, etc.
VIDEO EQUPMENT
Our current video camera is beyond repair. We will be looking at purchasing a new video camera - the question is how to pay for it. The possibility of using money obtained from future fundraisers was discussed.
SHOW FOR CHARITY
Although we would like to have a show for charity, funds are low right now. After our Home Meet, we may have extra funds to put on this show.
COOKIE DOUGH
Once again, we will have a Cookie Dough Fundraiser. We will start taking orders in early April, and delivery will be in May, prior to Mother’s Day.
MISCELLANEOUS
GPA’s – It was noted that gymnasts from EHS & Conifer HS have high GPA’s.
Osborne Athletics – The possibility of Osborne Athletics taking pictures at the Home Meet was discussed.
Balcony – The possibility of putting tables and chairs in the gym balcony for homework purposes was discussed.
P Bars – The gym now has regulation P Bars.
NEXT MEETING
Our next meeting will tentatively be held on
